His statement was, "This is just the beginning, Russia will invade 1- Poland 2- Bulgaria and 3 Romania are all next." I said, 'Dad I think the possibility of that happening is slim to none." Ill give Joe Biden some credit. The first thing Biden did that was the correct move was sending $350,000,000 in military aid. However, I don't think that is going to be nearly enough. Some stinger missiles and 350,000,000 can help but Ukraine will need more support than that. They might move the government to Lviv and if Russia takes all of Ukraine, it could be like CDG's government in France, during WWII, they could be in exile. They could have a Ukranian resistance government in Warsaw, if Russia gobbles all of Ukraine, worst case scenario. As for what will happen, once again, time will tell that story.

I think on the same lines as you and I also mentioned to a friend about the parallels you can draw with the US operations in Afghanistan and Russia

Ukraine has aspirations to join NATO, they will one day, eventually join but as of now, we don't know how this will damper things.
Yes, Trump would have said take it and would not have tried to impose sanctions.
The Ukranian resistance could make life hell for the Russians with urban warfare and stinger missiles from Germany, they also have some defense capabilities. I still think $350,000,000 might not be enough but already things are not going as planned for the Russians. I am sure by now they thought they would have had Kiev, but the people will put up a fight. Only thing is what benefit would it be to Ukraine if they remain neutral? One reason why this conflict started is because Zelinsky wanted to break away from the Trans-Atlantic Pact and join NATO.
