I agree ISP doesn't usually censor except that one time they banned all religious and political discussions. Sometimes you need to do something before things get out of hand and a lot of people start getting pissed off. It goes both ways.I've been visiting these iranian forums long enough to know what kind of crazy idiots are out there. I've even seen people making threats against the website owners for NOT censoring the opinions of the people they don't like. Let's remember though that at the end of the day this is a sports site. well actually now with persianway sports/entertainment site. Competitor's forums don't allow religious discussions AT ALL.

at concordia where i am taking my masters, there was a FUCKING ASHOORA Party.

i didn't go to it for four reasons:

With all dur respect I disagree with this one. HSV is now claimbing up of Bundes league table and it is not sure Kia is as prepared as we think he is. And indeed he is not if as good as we all saw in Bahrain game. They have not paid so much money

After the game with Bahrain, Daie complained about the ball not being a good one. As a ref, I know it is the job of the refs to examine the main and substitute balls thoroughly, and even measure the pressure of the ball, prior to the game. It was so strange to me that a player of his caliber complain about something stupid like that, I concluded that Daie must have been on drugs to say something that stupid. Then, half jokingly I started a thread about whether Bahrain drugged our team. Somebody in Admin got angry and offended by that thread and he locked my thread. Why the hell he did that? Was it because he did not agree with it?. Or, because he did not like it? Or perhaps he wanted to show who the hell is the boss on this site? Even if it was a stupid theaed, there was no reason to lock it. It did not attack, offend, or ridicule anybody’s religion or political belief. The membership is not stupid. Let them decide. I do not call actions like that a sign of being open minded. That is being absolutely close minded. Locking my thread reminded me of how some akhonds in Iran decides what is appropriate and what is not, to be published, read, and discussed.

Then there is yours which blasts Ashura, arabs and islam/religion and btw it hasn't been deleted or locked. I saw a couple of threads by Ashtar being deleted yesterday and the day before just as soon as they were made.

There is a place for everything. Different threads are made about different aspect of religion. You can't just jump in there in the middle of any religious discussion and start cursing religion and everyone. Those posts are out of place and subject to deletion. Your message has to be in tune with the theme of the thread. Imagine in the sports forum people making threads about soccer all the time and then there is this one person who hates soccer. Everytime there is a thread on soccer he posts a message swearing at all and everything that's soccer. That would be kinda gets to be annoying doesn't it?

The bottom line is your posts have to be relevant to the discussion. This is a moderated discussion forum.
