I'm so out of touch with what's going on in the Iranian community here - thought he was still living in Toronto! Last time I saw him was at my parents, but that was ages ago! Cool dude back then.

I loved the movie oghabha after the Revolution. It was about war hero Yadi sharifirad who was shutdown over Iraq and rescued by the kurds. He was tortured by the islamic regime after few year back. Yadi had 5 kill in less then one year as a F-5E pilot and was part of iran' golden crown team before the revolution.Alot of iran's best pilots were tortured. Infact iran' most prolific pilot named Jalal Zandi was tortured and sentenced to 20 years prison after the mollahs tried him for being a "taghooti" because refused to denounce the shah as his commander in chief.. then the war started and he was released to go and save the mollahs. He went on to become a General.

I met him in Iran. I was working for Mehdi Zokaei in Javanan magazin. It was a sommer job. It was an interview with him and his girlfriend Nosh Afarin. They played movie to gather.
He was jelouse of Behrooz vosoughi because he was given a role in an American film. All I can say about him is he was a fighter in streets and in life.
