Less than 30% of Iran's population lives in the rural areas. It will not be far fetched to also assume that high level of illiteracy translates into too many children, and wondering over what percent of the people in the rural areas are over 18?

Let's assume that the average of 57% of the population who are eligible to vote applies to the rural area as well. Let's also assume that 100% of the votes in the rural areas went to Ahmadinejad. Given the number of voters (known), even assuming there were not void ballots, calculate the percentage of the urban area votes Ahmadinejad had to receive to arrive at 62.3% votes of the entire population of the voters?

Part b. Do the problem subtracting the voided votes as reported by the officials.

Extra credit. Find out the exact percentage and the number of eligible voters in the rural areas and do parts a and b again, with these figures.
