If I was one of the officials of IFF or PEO, I would call an emergency meeting involving our TM and our 4 clubs in ACL...
This emergency meeting would be to either withdraw all our 4 teams from this ACL competition immediately by thanking AFC for giving us 4 undeserved seats. Withdrawal of our TM from the 3 remaining games from WC2010 qualifications should be discussed in the meeting as well as the state of our soccer is deteriorating everyday with TM's current results.
The main reason of calling such a meeting should not be looked as making a scene in front of other asian teams and AFC as sore losers but taking into account nothing but our own interests. Our fans deserve way better than going to stadiums to watch teams that are incapable and humiliating. The latest results of our 4 clubs in ACL tells us:
- Our teams are in a very bad psychological shape
- Start working on weaknesses from today (without wasting even a minute) rather than tomorrow by finishing IPL season and Hazfi cup as priorities
- With the current state, our teams are not suited to take on 3 different competitions simultaneously (league, Hazfi and ACL)
- Start building football structures and facilities to meet the latest standards
- Complain to AFC about their refreeing selection against our arab opponents
- Complain to AFC about time wasting roles played by mostly these arab teams that only make the asian football UGLY!
- Work hard to schedule our league games in conjunction with AFC and FIFA schedules
- We don't need to get fooled or be fooled anymore by shooting ourselves in the leg, losing to this west asian clubs (Qatar, UAE, Uzbekistan) does not do us any good except ruin our credentials... We should start our planning from today for next year's competition rather than continuing with mediocre or poor performance in our remaining games. Although it may result in decrease of our 4 spots but better we do this ourselves rather than AFC decreasing our shares!
- Maybe Ghotbi's selection as coach for TM is too late! Perhaps he should think twice about this rather than tomorrow when TM is eliminated, every blame would be headed towards him, his credentials would be questioned and...
The whole point of this post is to take things into our own hands and think about the near future rather than stick to bad planning, mismanagement from past... Today our 2 popular teams cannot even beat teams from Qatar while our TM gets beaten in front of its own fans by a below average side... do we need to see more?
