Mauricio Pochettino wants to be considered for the Manchester United manager’s job next season despite having four-and-a-half years left on his contract at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Argentinian is understood to regard the opportunity of moving to Old Trafford as too good to turn down, although it would cost United £34 million in compensation to prise him from Tottenham, which would take the club’s total bill for sacking José Mourinho earlier today past £50 million.

Pochettino refused to rule out the possibility of moving to United when asked about his intentions in a press conference today and is believed to have given the prospect serious thought already.

Despite his attachment to Tottenham and good working relationship with chairman Daniel Levy the 46-year-old is understood to have....

He gained legend status after scoring the famous CL Final injury time winner against Bayern in Man United's Treble season.

And older Man United fans probably remember the standing ovation he got after his red card when he ran all the way back to make a goal saving foul. LOOL.

He scored 126 goals for Man United. some real nice ones posted a few months ago on Man United official Youtube channel. He scored 4 goals as a sub against Forest. LOOL.

If this guy was any good in football management he wouldn't still be @ Molde. No good enough for Accrington Stanley let alone a big club like Man United.
Hopefully the club finds and hires a manager capable of being in charge of United for next season. I don’t think Ole can make things any worse in the next 5 months. Carrick and Mike Phelan (sir Alex assistant coach) will work with him.

he is only here for next 5 months. United is hiring director of football so they want him to be on board with the next coach. they need to get rid of 4 5 players and invest another 300 to 400 mil.
also its time for Pogba to show how good he is, others wise we should get rid of him as well.
