Yet on Tuesday morning, Iran had an unlikely visitor: a plane, owned by the Bank of Utah, a community bank in Ogden that has 13 branches throughout the state.
Fooking polygamous Mormons hunting for some exotic Iranian women to add to their haramsara.

LOL! I have a feeling this was not supposed to get much publicity but now the owner of the plane and its crew will probably get some heat.

Interestingly enough, it landed in Mehrabad, where there currently are no international departures or landings :)
I would land at Mehrabad too if I could. I assure you that all IR officials use Mehrabad but send us lowly subjects to the boonies. About the owners or the passengers, no one will know. It is held in a trust by Bank of Utah just for flights like this. My best guess is that they were measuring the drapes for the re opening of the embassy.

The passengers were some dudes from a Ghanaian mining company. One is related to Ghana's president.

"The plane is on lease to Ghana's presidential office, and its passengers were Ghanaian senior officials led by the president's brother. None of its crew members were American," Afkham was quoted as saying."

This is NOT the Bank of Utah talking, as you claimed. This is the IR mouthpiece Marzieh khanom. In fact, the reason planes are held in trust is to precisely avoid divulging information like this.

It's not just Marzieh khanoom saying this , officials from Ghana have also confirmed . I don’t think we will see any American plane with American officials/businessman landing in Iran anytime soon.

It was later reported that the aircraft was leased to Ghana-based mining firm Engineers and Planners (E&P), founded by the Ibrahim Mahama - a multi-millionaire and brother of Ghana's President John Mahama.
"The said trip was made in conformity with all international aviation laws," said a statement signed by the company's executive director, Adi Ayitevie, and seen by Reuters on Sunday.
Ayitevie said the plane had carried a delegation of Ghanaian business executives to Iran and had since returned to Ghana.
"We wish to also state that the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama, has never been transported by the said aircraft," the statement added.

On the day he made that post this information was not available. Besides, it was not the Bank of Utah that released the info. Now, on to the claim that "The said trip was made in conformity with all international aviation laws". The plane still is an American plane and subject to US laws. They are just renting it and can't fly it anywhere they want.

"To travel to Iran, the aircraft would typically need a license from the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, the primary enforcer of U.S. sanctions against Iran.

The Office of Foreign Assets Control did not issue a license for the plane’s flight to Iran, according to two people briefed on the matter, raising questions about whether its flight had flouted U.S. law. Treasury officials declined to comment."

The point is that the people inside the plane were not Americans like the media hype wanted people to believe . There are nearly 4000 private jets that are leased from US banks to foreign nationals so the thing about the Utah bank was also all hype from the media to make it seem Americans were on the ground in Tehran doing some business deal.

There have a few American planes that have landed in Iran due to emergency/humanitarian cases. A few years ago a US airways or American Airlines ( can’t remember exactly) had to make an emergency landing in Iran and in 2012 a US commercial plan was stuck in Ahwaz for 3 weeks for emergency repairs .
