I don’t know how Poland has been faring in this tournament. I heard their best player that built some animosity with Iranian players is retired along with few of their other players.
So they may also be an inexperienced team subject to fluctuations in emotions.

Iran 3-2 Poland

what a fantastic game by both sides. Services were absolutely great and won Poland the 4th set and won Iran the 5th set.

Amin Esmaeelnejad took control of the 5th set with brilliant services and great attacks. Milad Ebadipour was key in Iran's 3rd set win with great services and great strikes. Amir Esfandyar was also a great success in defence and winning some key points. Vadi did a fine job as setter.

iran's new coach has defintiely improved the serving and recieving
part of iran's game. that's what they were missing in the last few
years.
the poles were not expecting this loss :D

extended highlights from poland-iran match yesterday.

iran should have won in 4 sets but they made a few costly
mistakes in the final 2 points of that set.

but in the 5th set they just destroyed poland.to be precise
amin destroyed poland when he went on a 10-0 run with
his service starting at 2-2
