Iran finishes the group stage with 7 wins , 20 points , Set Ratio 1.157.

Iran has qualified to Q-finals and is currently in 7th position awaiting the results of Holland (6 wins , 17 points , Set Ratio 1.333) against Poland & Italy to determine its final position of 7th or 8th.

Poland has defeated Holland by 3-0. good news for Iran who maintains its 7th position. good news for Argentina & Slovenia who have the chance to catch Holland for that final 8th spot.

7th & 8th place will advance to Q-finals. 7th place will avoid playing against #1 seed Italy (host).

First tie-breaker is Points. second tie-breaker is Set Ratio.

7-Iran : 7 wins , 20 points , Set Ratio 1.157 , advanced to Q-finals round.
8- Holland : 6 wins , 17 points , , Set Ratio 1.111 , one game to play against Italy tomorrow.
9-Argentina : 5 wins , 17 points , Set Ratio .956 , one game to play against USA tomorrow.
10-Slovenia : 5 wins , 15 points , .Set Ratio 809 , one game to play against Poland tomorrow.

the tall iranian fm must be a player, he congratualted the team today.

Amirabdollahian in a Twitter message congratulated the Iranian nation on the victory.
He hailed the powerful win, describing it as a great honor for the country.
The Iranian national men's volleyball team qualified for 2022 Volleyball Nations League finals after defeating their Serbian competitors in Poland.

also he was in a sports mood today and had a meeting with the sports minster and the football federation people.
expect some news next week about the tm coaching job, and no carlos ain't coming back :p

تیم ملی والیبال ایران امسال از محمد موسوی، سعید معروف، امیر غفور و دیگر ستون‌های قدیمی‌اش‌عبور کرد؛ بعد از یک دهه به کادر فنی ایرانی سپرده شد و با بازیکنانی کم تجربه‌تر و جوان‌تر نتیجه قابل قبولی در لیگ ملت‌ها گرفته است.

؛ تیمی که ابتدای لیگ ملت‌ها تصور می‌شد با فشار بر کادر فنی و بازیکنانش به عنوان زنگ تفریح تیم‌های دیگر شناخته شود، با بردن امریکا و لهستان ـ تیم اول رنکینگ فدراسیون جهانی ‌- و بازی نزدیک و قابل قبول برابر برزیل و ایتالیا دیگر غول‌های دنیا، قاعده‌ای که قرار بود برایش بسازند را عوض کرد.


نمایش معمولی ایران در هفته اول لیگ ملت‌ها، کنار گذاشتن توماسو توتولو مربی ایتالیایی از کادر فنی یک هفته پیش از شروع مسابقات و نرسیدن بازیکنان کلیدی مصدوم ـ کریمی، مجرد و صالحی ـ در ابتدا تصویری ناامید کننده از تیم ملی به مخاطبانش مخابره می‌کرد.

ضد مافیا؛ مُهری که عطایی با دیپورت کاظمی و توتولو بر پیشانی تیمش کوبید

در چنین شرایطی اما اصلاح ساختار داخلی تیم ملی و حذف طبقه‌بندی و بازیکن سالاری از سوی کادرفنی ایرانی ابتر نماند و صابر کاظمی پرآوازه ترین بازیکن یک سال اخیر ایران بعد از عملکرد ضعیف‌ در هفته اول لیگ ملت‌ها کنار گذاشته و به ایران بازگردانده شد.

بی اغراق چه کسی جز بهروز عطایی و دستیارش طلوع کیان جرات چنین کاری را داشتند؟ کدام مربی درجه دو شرق اروپا که تیم ملی والیبال ایران را بعد از ولاسکو کنترات برداشته بودند جرات کنار گذاشتن اصلی‌تری مهره‌ی تیم ملی را داشت یا آن مربیان باشگاهی که در فصل اخیر به دست‌های کاظمی بوسه می‌زدند جرات چنین کاری را داشتند؟

آن‌چه امین اسماعیل نژاد قطر پاسور آ‌ذری و جایگزین صابر کاظمی در بازی سه‌شنبه شب گذشته مقابل لهستان در ست پنجم انجام داد به حماسه‌ای می‌ماند که خالق‌اش به جز خود او، مربیانی بودند که زمینه این اتفاق را فراهم کردند.

کنار گذاشتن توتولو و صابر کاظمی دو رویداد موفق در راه تسلط کادر فنی بر پیکره تیم ملی والیبال ایران و آغازی بر پایان بازیکن‌سالاری و مافیا پروری در تیم ملی بود. کاری که بعد از رفتن ولاسکو از ایران هیچ کدام از مربیان ـ حتی ولادیمیر آلکنوـ هم نخواستند و هم موفق به انجامش نشدند.

Iran will play against either USA or Poland in Q-finals depending on the result of Poland vs Slovenia which is scheduled to start in about an hour.

Argentina was so close to qualifying as 8th place but lost to USA in a thrilling 5 set match.(5th set ended 17-15 for USA)

Had Argentina won the 5th set they would have gone above Holland (same # of wins but more points than Holland) and secured 8th place regardless of Poland vs Slovenia result. heart break for Argentina fans.

Poland vs Slovenia is the last game and is still being played. no final standings yet.

Format of the final round is single elimination. Q-finals : 1 vs 8 , 2 vs 7 , 3 vs 6 , 4 vs 5 , followed by Semi-finals and Final.
