the table is confusing because it's ranking is based on
the number of wins first and then points.

so iran with more points is ranked below 4 teams with
a 6-6 record even though iran has more points than them

hosts japan 3-0 in the final.

they only lost one set to china in the semis in the entire tournament.
this was a very young team with many of the old stars out.

and last but not least they did it with an all iranian coaching staff
