Hello everybody-

I am trying to get this box for my parents? Is anybody using it? Are the Channels really HD? Is is worth it? Please share your experience. It is highly appreciated,

All I can say is the channels are not HD in source.
The connection from the box to the TV is HD. It has HD capability should they ever broadcast in HD in the future.

I have the box at home & it supposedly is hd but nothing shows in hd. They said later on when they show the programs in hd you don't have to change the box. I kind of think by the time the programs in Iran are HD the life of this box will be over. I have to try getting the app for my Samsung TV at the office for free as BT said.

I just realized that there is an app for samsung TV. So many channels, which channels do you guys recommand ?

Yrah. Its free app on samsung tv.

Donno about you guys in the states, but here in europe IRIB has started broadcasting all og its local channels on hotbird. So we get all the 10-15 channels from iran itself.

I just spent few hours in watching Farsi1 last night (with the GlWiz App) , it is really horrible the way they dub TV series. I mean Iranians don't speak like this in real life. It is kinda funny the way they talk :)

I just want to mention the free app gives a lower bandwidth (128 KbPS) whereas the subscription gives higher bandwidth.
