رئیس کل سازمان نظام پرستاری با انتقاد تند از رئیس‌جمهوری اسلامی، گفته که ابراهیم رئیسی خدمات کادر درمانی در ایران در زمان بحران کرونا را «کم‌انگاری» کرده و آنان را «تحقیر» می‌کند.
ابراهیم رئیسی روز ۲۸ خرداد در ویدئویی که از صحبت‌های او منتشر شد، می‌گوید: «به رئیس دانشگاه علوم پزشکی گیلان زنگ زدم، تلفنی خسته نباشید بگویم، به من گفت فلانی! اتفاقی افتاده از خود موضوع کرونا مهمتر؛ چهره‌های بسیجی و جهادی و انقلابی (در ایام کرونا) به بیمارستان‌ها رفته‌اند و به پزشکان و پرستاران یاد می‌دهند چگونه باید برای مردم کار کرد. من خودم وقتی رفتم کنار خانواده‌های داغدار، دیدم طلبه‌های ما هستند و تنها دل خانواده‌ها را حضور آن‌ها آرام می‌کند».
محمد میرزابیگی، رئیس کل سازمان نظام پرستاری، در بیانیه‌ای که روز سه‌شنبه ۳۱ خرداد خطاب به ابراهیم رئیسی منتشر کرد، گفت: «جناب آقای رئیس‌جمهور؛ رئیس دانشگاه علوم پزشکی گیلان غلط زیادی کرده است».
او افزوده است: «این حق مدافعین سلامت» نبود که رئیس‌جمهوری کشور، «از قول یک رئیس دانشگاهی که در دوره کرونا معلوم نبود خودش کجاست و اکنون هم بدترین شکل ممکن مدیریت را بر مجموعه خود دارد، این‌چنین خدمات و رشادت‌های مدافعین سلامت را کم‌انگاری و تحقیر کند».
رئیس کل سازمان نظام پرستاری در این بیانیه به ابراهیم رئیسی گوشزد کرده است که در جریان «دو سال و صد روز» بحران کرونایی، «بیش از ۳۰۰» پرستار، پزشک و پیراپزشک ایرانی جان خود را برای رساندن خدمات درمانی به بیماران از دست دادند که ۱۵۹ نفر از آن‌ها پرستار بودند.
میرزابیگی تأکید کرده است که بیشترین تعداد قربانیان کادر درمانی بر اثر کرونا نیز مربوط به استان گیلان بوده است.
پیش از این، مؤید علویان، رئیس نظام پزشکی تهران بزرگ، نیز در یادداشتی خطاب به ابراهیم رئیسی خواستار عذرخواهی وی از کادر درمان به دلیل اظهارات او شد.
او همچنین به ابراهیم رئیسی هشدار داد که «اگر اشتباه خود را هرچه زودتر اصلاح نکند، ادبیاتش در تاریخ ثبت خواهد شد».
