How Many Books Do You Read Annually?

I remember my quantum physics professor asked the class this question on the first day of classes, not to mention how he made everyone feel so stupid by his follow up comments. My intention is certainly to bring about the importance of reading. so please do your best to be honest.

P.S. don't include academic books.

well see, i try to read books sometimes, but it gets in the way and i eventually stop because i have to focus on school books... but if i really liek the book, then the school book will be cliff notes.

If I do go, I buy about 20-30 books(mostly polit) from there!!

It depends on size the books. Some are too long thus it may take me 6 months, like PEDARO PESA which is over 800 pages.

On the average, I read three to four books of 300-400 pages in a year time.

I try to keep it to one every month.. but sometimes it doesn't happen.

I mainly read history books.

I am embarrassed to say that my number is zero. At work I read and write all day (patents), and at the same time I am attending school. So when I come home, the last thing I want to do is read again.

what do u think of that book? i really enjoyed it. after that, i am a big dan brown fan now.

I thought it started slow, then really picked up, but I found myself predicting alot of the things that happen later on in the book. There were some amazing twists and I think the author did very well to keep the reader interested.
Also a lot of the research that Dan Brown put into the story may be true, but there are some lies as well.
I can't wait for the movie with Tom Hanks az Langdon.

Dosnt matter how many books you read annually and QUANTITY, the matter is how much you understand from the books you read and QUALITY.
