It's a three year contract but he can opt out after his first and second years if he so chooses. He would've had to sign a 5 year deal with Atlanta to get the same amount of money that he received from Olympiakos.

I guess the only thing going for Atlanta was good soul food. The thing with the NBA is they pick their superstars and that's who gets coverage, I'm not saying they are not good players, but the limelight does not exactly shine on everyone. It's not an 'equal opportunity' environment, two words Ray Allen. I expect more players to do the same in the future

and if he comes back, he doesnt lose much in terms of his career. They play less over there and sometimes, they can play for longer if they spent a couple of years in europe. Look at Anthony Parker. He is 33, but came in this season in the best shape and had a great first couple of games. He said he is 33, but with a body of a 27-28 year old because he didnt go through the grind of 82 seasons for most of his career.
