Some interesting points from conference/interview after signing his contract.

  • His contract is worth $360,000 a year, and will be paid to him in 4 instalments.
  • Initial length of contract is 1 year, with the intention of being renewed to last until after the 2016 Olympics. The renewal will most likely depend on performances in the upcoming Asian Games.
  • He will have 2 Portuguese full-time coaches + Iranian coach & staff. He will also have a further 2 Portuguese coaches who will be called upon when Vingada sees fit, so they are kind of part-time.
  • He says that his first aim is success in the 2014 Asian Games.
  • Queiroz played a part in him coming to Iran.
  • He wants to continue working in Iran alongside Queiroz after Brazil and is confident that Queiroz will stay.

In all honesty, if, if, if, IF Iranian clubs and management cooperate with Vingada and the U23 team then this team can be quite successful just based on the vast amount of talent available.

Qualifying for the 2016 Olympics should be well within their reach, and i feel failure to qualify would be extremely disappointing.

Kaveh Rezaei, Sardar Azmoun, Jahanbakhs, Sadeghian, B.Rahmani, Yaghoub Karimi, Alishah, Sharifi, Ali Karimi are all just a handful of impressive players Vingada can have to his disposal for the 2014 Asian Games!

Mate, how did you come to the conclusion only Jahanbakhs and Azmoun will be eligible?

Incheon Games is in 2014.

Kaveh Rezaei (21), Omid Alishah (22), Sadeghian (22), B.Rahmani (22), Mehdi Sharifi (21), Ali Karimi (20), Azmoun & Jahanbakhs will all be under 23 and remain under 23 in time for this tournament that kicks off September this year. Only player that i mentioned that won't be eligible after looking twice, will be Yaghoug Karimi because he turns 23 in August. Rest of them, eligible.

I mean Olympic , no one care for Asian game . these guys wont be eligible to play in next Olympic 2016
that is why they brought vingada his main challenge is for Olympic not Asian game

Well , many people in Iran care about Asian Games. and it's a good tourney to provide the young players with competitive International experience.

Also , 3 over 23 players are allowed in the Olympics squad. so a very good chance to see some of the mentioned players in Olympics if Iran qualifies.

you care when you use this tournament to build a team for Olympic qualification not like Iran that all they care is goes with many player close to 23 years old to win it here and then 95% of this team leave and the you have to go through all rebuild process for Olympic . you will see most of Asian giants come with their under 21 team in order to build for next Olympic, iran will takes guys close to 23 years old age ! that is why I don't give damn about this tournament
