persian gulf gets some attention

I feel like we are loosing the battle. even the liberal NPR is using the term "Gulf" let alone U.s Navy.

This isn't the first time that the U.S. government has agitated parts of the Arab world with a word choice. Before war planners christened the 2001 invasion of Afghanistan "Operation Enduring Freedom," they'd briefly tried calling it "Operation Infinite Justice."
