the authorites have banned all players in the NBA to wear gold chains. Not only that, but they must go to and from games in suites. I find the first part funny and stupid lol.

It's because every player in the NBA is a ghetto boy so they're just trying to smarten up a multi billion dollar sports industry.

might be so and I'll agree they want to change their image but on the flip side you have the baltimore orioles who in the 90's when they had mostly a wite team strictly begain to enforce a dress code, along with how you act and overal look. Players could not have any facial hair, they could not have long hair, they could not wear jeans at public functions etc. etc. etc.

This is not different than the IFF making the players cut their hair. Where is the freedom of speech in this? Both situation are horrible

wow u people are missing the entire point. This is a BUSINESS... I dont understand why professional athletes get to be immune from conducting themselves in a professional manner. Can an attorney come to work in a law firm dressed like he just robbed a liquor store? Can a doctor perform surgery with 4234234 gold chains around his neck?!? Get with it man!

I am with the idea to wear suits while at the arena (or while arriving at it) for a game, but, I don't think the rule should extend to other times, such as when the players are in the hotel lobby, plane, etc. Yes, they are public figures but this rule should not infringe upon their personal lives either.

No No, thats not right at all. A attorney can wear whatever he wants off court. A doctor can wear whatever he wants on the way to his work. Basketball players can't wear gold on the court. Their jersey on the basketball court is equivalent of a suite for an attorney. How they dress off their job is their business.

Wrong... The dress code is only for team functions and before and after games. Its not for times during off periods or when they go to the grocery store. Same as an attorney for a firm. He can not wear what he wants to a client meeting...

I hope ISP webmasters will prohibit mister "Kaka" posting pornographic pictures on this website.

Many iranians muslims are coming here, these pictures are hurting sensibilities and should be prohibited in a sport's forum.

FireFox allows you to block certain images that you do not want to view, let's say you don't like someone's avatar. You simple right click on the picture and click on AdBlock, you can get AdBlock from Firefox's Extension section.

Personally, my parents always go by my room so I just block certain images from sites that I like to visit.

You can't expect others to make everything to your perfect condition, you have to do it yourself ;)

and also.. people please do not insult Islam. I respect your need for seeing attractive celebrity's behinds and I believe in return, you guys should respect mine and a thousand of other's religion.

and once more, this is all just my opinion, we have complete Freedom of Speech here, so you can disagree or agree with whatever I say.

I insult only the hypocritical aspects of Islam, and of other religions, as it is the responsibility of rational thinkers, as to prevent blindly following into the darkness blah blah etc. or any other of my lame excuses for me taking pops at semitic religions. ;)

I thought this thread was about bling and the NBA, IFF saying our players can't have long hair or dress funny, the NBA saying players can't wear baggy jeans etc. WHAT HAPPEND!

One person makes a comment and then people reply... I think the point was made after the first reply LOL
