Germany and Italy can become the next two teams to qualify for the WC today with victories against their opponents Austria and Bulgaria respectively.

New Zealand defeated the Saudis 1-0 in Riyadh yesterday, in yet another example of the Saudis struggling to get back into things.

Other notable game for me is Finland vs. Spain. I just got back from Helsinki, having visited the Olympic Stadium and meeting up with quite a few football fans and they're not holding their breath, even though they tied them 1-1 in Spain. I sent some positive vibes their way and will be watching the game. :)

The Netherlands can qualify next Tuesday, if they beat Estonia in Tallin today and win again on Tuesday. If our step is as good as I think it is ;) we may have cursed the Dutch by doing a side trip from Helsinki to Tallin! ;)

Mexico and the US also with important games today in CONCOCAF and the Brazil-Australia friendly should be an important one for us to keep and eye on.

Good 1-2-3 & Jordan scores to lead Uzbek by 1-0 now. good buildup for the goal and clinical finish.

Uzbek score to make it 1-1.

A good ball to left wing and a pass to an unmarked Uzbek player inside the box whose shot was hilariously mishandled by Jordan keeper for the goal.

This Jordan keeper looks a bit shaky. Uzbeks could cause some serious damage with long range shots.

I will be surprised if Jordan goes through, Uzbeks are even playing better in away match ...

Jordan 1 Uzbekistan 1

The winner of this tie will have quite a fun time playing against the likes of Chile & Uruguay.

It was a good first goal by Jordan. good buildup play involving 3 players and a good finish.

And i'm still laughing at Uzbek's goal and the goal scorer's multiple flip flop celebration. :)

quick counter by Jordan met by a last ditch Uzbek tackling effort to block the shot on goal for a corner.

Uzbek give away almost cost them a goal. Jordan should have done better on that play.

still 1-1.

What a player this Mkhitaryan is ! I wish he was an Iranian-Armenian and played for Iran. Armenia beat Czech Republic in Prague. This Armenian team looks better than TM at the moment.

Armenia has had it's real weird ups and downs in this WCQ. they lost to Malta in Armenia. they also lost to Czech Republic in Armenia. but they defeated Denmark by 4-0 in Denmark.

what waste of time these uninteresting internationals are. Just aggrevating how it disturbs the domestic schedules.

True soccer fans are dying to see Chelsea, Arsenal, chelsea, Spurs, chelsea, Juve, Chelsea, Real,...with all their new stars and here we are out of action for two weeks cause germany and italy and...have to beat up on a couple of kaka teams first. Fak!. thank god at least NFL started
