Not really. 70s was the advent of technical players who would actually attempt beautiful dribbles. They were often tackled and taken down, but they prevailed most times.
Today, literally no one even tries to beat their man because the "ball" has lost its importance.
Something is wrong with the game. We never had this level of players' hands being so involved. Even players like Messi and Ronaldo enjoyed a different level of freedom when they were younger.
