Personally I oppose what Reza Shah did as well, Women/Men should have a CHOICE, if you want to wear Hijab, go for it, if not, then dont! FORCING people in a way of life is wrong.

سخنگوی فدراسیون فوتبال ضمن تأیید خبر بازگشت کی‌روش به تیم ملی فوتبال ایران گفت: «از مدت‌ها قبل کارلوس کی‌روش با توجه به آشنایی با بازیکنان و شرایط تیم ملی ایران، به عنوان یکی از گزینه‌های هدایت تیم ملی ایران در مسابقات جام‌جهانی قطر بررسی شده بود، ولی به دلیل وجود قرارداد با فدراسیون فوتبال کشور مصر، این گزینه امکان‌پذیر نبود.»
او افزود: «پس از جدایی کارلوس کی‌روش از تیم ملی مصر، کارگروه ویژه‌ای در فدراسیون فوتبال تشکیل شد. هدف از تشکیل این کارگروه ایجاد پل ارتباطی و بررسی امکان حضور فوری کی‌روش در ایران برای برنامه‌ریزی و شروع تمرینات تیم ملی، و همچنین هماهنگی‌ها لازم برای برگزاری مسابقات دوستانه پیش از شروع مسابقات جام‌جهانی قطر بود. خوشبختانه کی‌روش از این پیشنهاد فدراسیون با گرمی استقبال‌کرد و پیش از برگزاری مراسم قرعه‌کشی، پیش‌نویس اولیه قرارداد به تأیید وکلای طرفین رسید. قرارداد نهایی بین کارلوس کی‌روش و فدراسیون فوتبال ایران هفته‌ی آینده طی مراسم ویژه‌ای در تهران ثبت خواهدشد.»
در قرعه‌کشی مرحله گروهی جام‌جهانی، تیم ملی ایران در سید سوم قرار داشت و پس از قرعه‌کشی، تیم‌های ملی انگلستان و آمریکا به عنوان رقبای قطعی تیم ملی ایران در مرحله گروهی این دوره از مسابقات جام‌جهانی معرفی شدند. چهارمین رقیب ایران در مرحله گروهی، پس از برگزاری بازی‌های پلی‌آف مشخص خواهد شد و یکی از تیم‌های اسکاتلند، ولز و یا اوکراین خواهد بود.
در اولین واکنش به اعلام قرعه تیم ملی ایران، کارلوس کی‌روش در فضای مجازی اعلام‌کرد: «از قرعه‌ی ایران راضی‌ام، و با ستاره‌هایی که در اختیار داریم به صعودمان از مرحله گروهی بسیار خوش‌بین هستم.»

They can do it better with Scotland or Wales in their last group match. It is too bad that TM not be playing against England in the last group match when England is likely to be fielding its B team.

i would like iran to play these teams as preparation:

poland - a good physical team with a harry kane type player as in lewondowski, they are also a good mock up of ukraine.
they got saudi in their group so they are game.

ireland/wales/scotland/northern ireland - if ukraine makes it then any of these teams are a good preparation match.

canada - is a better team than the usa but a good stand in for them and they got morocco in their group which is iran like.

ecuador - they got qatar in their group and might be our opponent in the elimination round.

croatia - dragan can use his connections to get us this friendly just for the fun of it and a possible ukraine match up.

i play all these matches in qatar and canada for the american continent teams :p

but playing preparation matches is very tricky this time around due to the timing of the wc.

players like taremi, azmoun of alireza will get released from their clubs in europe only 7 days
before the wc starts. unless fifa does issue an order for their release :D

What I wouldn't give, in addition to your chelo kabab, if this happened but unfortunately it's April fool.

The thing is, in this group with CQ, we had a great chance to qualify to the second round. He knows England like the back of his hand, we would demolish the US more than we did back in 98 and a war torn Ukraine (I'm assuming they will qualify), would not be difficult to get at least a point from.

There are other coaches... Doesnt' necessarily need to be CQ although he would be great.

We have the greatest ever chance of qualifying to the second round, need to get a good coach quickly

Unfortunately other coaches are not proven in Iran. If you bring one, they could turn out to be another Wilmots. CQ has already proven his worth.

Having said that, IFF have already stated that Skocic will stay and that he will be our coach in the WC. 🙄
