Thank you for your concern Agha Shojaa joon and biAzar. Actually, I
could only wish the game was my biggest concern. I had a real freak
accident at home. I hit my right eye on a my computer chair at home
yesterday morning, and everything just went blank in my right eye!!
Don't ask me how it happenned. If I knew, I wouldn't call it a freak accident.
I couldn't see a thing. I could barely see the outline of my hands four inches
in front of my face. Only ghosts. Since then, I've been between
doctor, specialist, and hospitals. I returned home just a few minutes
ago after several cornea and retina exams. Fortunately, there is no
cornea damage or retina detachment. There is some hemmorage
inside the retina (vitrius hemmorage) which is not abnormal in such
situations, but needs to be monitored for the next 3-6 months. The
vision in my right eye is much better than yesterday, although still
quite foggy and blurred, which is due to the bleeding inside. I think
I will be alright though. I just want to make sure it heals enough so
no one can tell me "tA cheshmet koor mikhAsti Perspolisi nashi"!! ;)

And my congratulation to all my EsteghlAli friends for the win.
I'm sure it was very well-deserved. If nothing else, I can at least
be happy about a good, exciting game and noto another noring 0-0.

I'll try to check the list more often over the next couple of days, but
please forgive me if I am late with the prediction results and tables.

LOL @ Nilu. No Nilu jAn, it happenned long before any of those goals.
Hey, something like this happens to you and you realize losing or winning
a game is pretty insignificant in the overall scheme of things. If something
more serious had happenned, I would have even been willing to give back
the 6-0 game to Esteghlal to regain my sight. Ummmmm, actually thinking
about it some more, I'd never give them the 6-0. Even a blind man deserves
to have some good memories. :) :) :) I let them be content with a 3-2
for now though.

Eshghi jon, bala be door.
Geez, when I started reading your reply, I got scared, but It got better as I read on.
I just hope that all the tests and exam reveal that there is no damage.

We love our eshghi as is,so you try to keep it as so.
Once again ,you have shown your class and aghaii by congratulating blue fans. I wish ,at least one of the red players had 1/2 the class as you and some of my red friends at this site have shown. As they are still in denial!

I think gods had your condition in mind when they decided to settle with 3-2 and not a more deserved lopsided score. But what the heck, for amoo eshgi's sake, we would have even setlled with a 1-0.

get well soon!
(Bazi roo tape kardi ya na? )

Nilu, Shoja, westi, thanks for the well wishes.
biAzar jAn, sharmandeyeh mohabbatetam.

I taped the game, and watched it. Wow! Finally, a good, exciting game
between these two. At least the last 35 minutes or so. You EsEs fans
must be ecstatic to win it in such a dramatic fashion with like 5 seconds
to go. I'd take this one to the top of your future korkori list.
Both teams
had their chances, but the Blues won derservedly because they played better
as a team. Again, congrats to my Abi friends. Some comments:

1- Reds 2nd goal was undoubtedly offside (I'm sure it's been discussed in other threads).
The first one couldn't have been offiside because the pass to Sheis was by Enayati.
2- Persepolis had played better as a team in its previous games. In this one,
everyone seemed to want to go it alone, and they failed badly.
3- Asadi was aweful. Too many unnecessary fouls. If he was meant to play
the "takhribi" role in Pers, he failed badly. Oladi was invisible too. Someone
better teach this kid this is a team game before he goes on ruining what
could potentially be a decent career. Bagheri was not the same player he
was over the last few weeks. He was again slow and unmotivated. For
Perspolis, he was a key man, and he didn't show up today.
4- IMO, Fekri was Taj's best player. He won every ball on the defensive side,
and didn't make one mistake. He also brought Taj back by that nice goal.
Mansourian played as solidly as he has the whole season.
5- EsEs won this game because they wanted it more. They won almost
all 50-50 balls, and those rebounded from Perspolis's defence. All three
Taj's goals were scored off of balls returned by PesePes defence and
won by Taj.

Dear eshghi,
You have shown your class many many time, and this time you showed it again. Thanks for all the complement.

It was indeed a sweet victory. Last night, I woke up in the middle of the night and was still thinking about the game...how that last second changed everything. I am still enjoying the win.

One thing though...PesPes first goal was not offside but it should have been a goal kick rather than a corner. I had apparently hit Jabari but the ref called it a corner.
