This is just my take on matters, and i'm opening up a box for debate.

Aylar:

Type in "Persian" in Kazaa and around 95% of files you find are this girl doing naughty things she shouldn't be doing... She has been on FHM and is one of the most (in)famous young females in Scandinavia. She first hit the scenes when she pretended her porn exploits were the fault of an imaginary twin, thereby gaining cult status on the internet. Now she's mainstream, and we could possibly hazard that more people have seen her than Aghdashloo or Ebadi (!)

Arash:

Who would have thought that the most successful Iranian artist EVER (when we are talking about CHART success) will be some bacheh soosool who is stealing Indian and Arabic songs and rhythms, but doing it WITH STYLE! He's topped the charts in a number of European countries (especially chech republic and slovakia for some reason?!?) And his album reached top 10 in many of the countries in Europe. He annoys me sometimes with his "bollywood" iranian, but he's got a winning formula.

Hey there Y'All
I guess you will find all Kinds in the vast society of Iranians living abroad.
After Space Shuttle Colombia disaster NASA successfully landed a PROBE in mars which immediately started scanning the surface of the Planet and sending Pix back to earth which made many scientists have tears in their eyes and lump in the throat. General Manger of the whole Project is an Iranian born scientist. (may be you remember his name)
According to 2003 US Dept. of Interior Census:
Average annual income of Iranian household living in the US was above $48,000 , vs Average American household of $33,000.
55% of Iranians living in US have their own Biz and each Biz employees average of 5 employees. That is more than 2.5 Mil jobs created by Iranian society.

yeah it is! if he just didnt have that Indian tune in his songs, it would be great.
he is well known in many countries. I saw his song played in different music channels in Europe sattelite.
