What this conflict should teach every country is to not outsource its national security to the so called "international community".

Russia has invaded a country of roughly the size of turkey and Europeans were struggling to maybe do partial swift sanctions against it.

Iran did not Build nukes, did not invade any country but it go the biggest sanctions known to man.

^^ It is interesting that the west struggled to cut off Russia from SWIFT and still has not completely cut them off, but were very quick to do the same to Iran. Just this one example should be a teaching point to Iranians.

Feb 27 (Reuters) - European nations and Canada moved on Sunday to shut their airspace to Russian aircraft, an unprecedented step aimed at pressuring President Vladimir Putin to end his invasion of Ukraine, the biggest attack on a European state since World War Two.

The United States is mulling similar action, but has yet to make a final decision, according to U.S. officials.

Von der Leyen, president of the European Commission, said plans had also been made to ban state-owned media outlets Russia Today and Sputnik from broadcasting in the EU.

"As the war in Ukraine rages on, and Ukrainians fight bravely for their country, the European Union steps up once more its support for Ukraine and the sanctions against the aggressor – Putin's Russia," said von der Leyen.

"For the first time ever, the European Union will finance the purchase and delivery of weapons and other equipment to a country that is under attack

FIFA has ordered Russia to play matches without its flag and anthem at neutral venues, warning the country could be excluded from competitions if the situation in Ukraine does not improve.
Sunday’s announcements which FIFA called “immediate first measures” were, however, swiftly criticised as insufficient by European nations.

What politics and sport are u tlking about, they invaded a free country. Would you play the Hitler's Germany when he was killing Jews?
wait!! we have not had numerous other active occupations and invasions in the past 10-20 years?

the whole argument has been not to lump the athelete's with political regime they are associated with.

Yes, Putin is like Hitler!
