According to IRNA, the capture brought to close months of careful planning and tracking of bin Ladin with the help of informers, agents and captured Arab separatist terrorrists who had initiated a wave of bomb attacks against commercial and governmental targets. Captured terrorrists have claimed that he was there to encourage and develop ill feeling and acrimony between the majority Persian speaking Shia Iranians and minority Arabic speaking Sunni muslims.
According to sources, bin Ladin who was captured minus his trademark beard, was taken to an unknown destination for interrogation.
