even though Nigeria has 70% of ball position, they did not look that dangers at all
Apart from the first 10 mins and last 5 mins .. Nigeria did f*ckall
Overall Nigeria Played slow Harmless football and Iran players were fresh as a daisy till the end of the match(apart from Dejagah who lacks fitness since he came back from injury) .. they could have played another 20 mins

USA didn't play the best game in the world, in fact Ghana played better offense but the USA got the result fair and square. USA didn't sit on it when Ghana scored the goal they parked the bus for 80 min but they got the header in the 2nd by the sub.

Asafa Gyan is too good for UAE League .. typical greedy African all he cares about is $$$$$

By far the most unfair result of the WC so far. What the hell was that? U.S. scores on a joke of a so-called attack after 32 sec, parks the f*cking Greyhound for 85 minutes, scores on the only thing remotely close to an opportunity, and wins the game. Disgusting.

As much as many people think Ghana played better, they were not able to score! US controlled the tempo of the game and did what it takes to win a game!

US didn't control anything, Yepadopa jan. Ghana controlled the tempo, gameplay, everything. They just didn't have that killer touch to get the ball in the goal, their final pass and/or finishing were poor. Otherwise the game was theirs for the taking.

It is not fair for say they parked the bus! with the exception of 5-10 minutes in the second half they played a decent game and connected their passes well to move the ball around.

I agree that Ghana had the possession of the ball and attacked more but US defended well and moved the ball out of danger zone calmly and with ease.

Here is the overall breakdown of the game. Some might say Ghana played better and they certainly attacked more but the USA conceded a lot of long ranged shots and yes once they got the goal they parked the bus for 80 min until Ghana scored. The difference was after the goal they attacked and scored on a beautiful header by the sub and that was all she wrote. You can't really say Ghana played better than the USA because most of their shots were from outside of 25 meters.

Oh and to the dude who plays in the UAE league they might not have the best league in the world but I understand why good players from Ghana go there and can you really call it greed? If some Arab club offered you a boatload of money and you were from Africa wouldn't you take it? You got to look at it from the player's perspective it's easy to say if I was him I would play in Europe well most of us are from at least well to do or middle class families so we have that luxury.

Back to the game USA did just enough they attacked and they were opportunistic when they needed to attack and they defended for the most part of the game. JK has a very European style approach don't lose the game in the 1st 20 minutes(this time USA struck in 30th second) if you score a goal don't crazy and get caught with your pants down. Notice though once Ghana scored, USA didn't go for the tie they wanted those crucial 3 points. That is all you need to do in soccer Iran did something similar against Korea except we parked the bus from the start and had that counter from Gucci in the 70'th min then went back to the bus football. If it works you end up being a genius but coaches look like jacka$$es when it backfires.

Not The Eshaalic Goozpublic !
US had a very professional game.

There was a subtle difference between the current US team and the usual naive game they play.

Ghana was extremely aggressive in attack and US contained them. They stretched them back to their own net forcing them the build their attack from the back (which is much harder than camping outside the opposition's box looking to probe.

They would hide behind the trench and once it a while would come out in groups and stab. Job well done.

You have to do with what you have. And you have to flex your game according to your opposition.
