It is a mess, there are really no clear candidates, I want to know who you think will win the next presidentila elections and why?
One would think that because republicans messed up so big Democrats would be the clear favorits, but looking at democrats candidates, the main contenders are a BLACK man and a WOMAN, I don't see this country being ready for any of them (Don't look at California or NY or soem fo the northern states look further south they are not going to get a single state). On the other hand Repubcan candidates are all retarded EXCEPT for RON PAUL but lets face it he does not have a chance.

Of all candidate Ron PAul is my favorit so far but he doesn't have a chance, so my question is who do you think will win, NOT WHO YOU like to win.

First anser wether we will have a republican or democratic president and then tell me who?

I am pretty sure its going to be Hillary, the bad news is she is way too right wing for me, They'll take a white woman over any non-white person easily and its going to be a democrat.

I hope its Ron Paul, but dont think so, if not Ron Paul, then Obama

It is going to be a republican for a simple reason that the american public will not elect a woman nore a black man to the office for at least another decade..

As much as I'd love to see Obama as the next US president simply because of his policies on Iran, I think the final winner will be another republican and that will be Huckabee, and I am willing to put money on it.

For me the most important of all of them is that he has ruled out any military options against Iran. Any military attacks against Iran will only strengthen the IRI establishment and that's certainly not what the majority of Iranians including myself want.

yes, but atleast he ruled against the war against Iraq in congress, which shows his stands in wars in general.

but Hillary actually voted for the war against Iraq, and now she tries to hide it in her stand.

I think Hillary Clinton has a great chance(Americans cant stand peaceful/socialist nature of Obama I suppose). if not, a Republican opponent will get elected. which makes either case as Republican as it gets as the next president of U.S.

I wouldn't be so sure. He advocated unilateral military action against Pakistan which he has not taken back. So given the right conditions he'll do just that with Iran.

I wish Obama could win this but knowing Americans I don’t think they are ready for a African American president . Most likely , Clinton will be the next president.

Yes and no, he has advocated military action against Osama's hide out in Pakistan Waziristan frontier region. Pakistan is unwilling/unable to take care of the problem due a number of reasons. That area is semi- independent, not under the control of the central Pakistani government and has been the source of radicals how support Osama.
Having said that, what Obma has said was not something a mature politician would say in public IMO.

Damn, I think I pressed Democrat by accident. Take one away from democrats and give it to Republicans.

I personally don't bring the race or gender of a candidate into my decision-making, but I think a large number of people in this country do. In any case, if my past experience is any indication, today's front-runners may just be that. The eventual nominees may surprise you. Four years ago, Howard Dean was the front runner at this juncture. Three months later, he was history because he was an "angry" man (as if he didn't have the right to be). :)

I may be cycnical, but the days when candidates mostly represented the people are gone. Corporations (media included) and special-interest groups have tremendous power over the process, and it's not that difficult for them to steer things their own way to a very large extent. We'll just have to wait and see who suit them best!!
