The thought of Davari in goal scares the shit out of me. He's shown time and again that he's not capable of making saves, has absolutely no reflexes, and freezes 90% of the time hoping for the ball to go wide or high, regardless of which European teams are interested in him. I can't remember seeing him make an attempt (dive) to save the ball on any of the goals he has conceded, which by itself is quite telling. And I will puke if I hear the ridiculous argument that "great goalies have good positioning, hence do not have to dive" one more time. I guess Yashin, Banks, Buffon, Casillas and others happen to be below average keepers because they frequently made spectacular saves by flying like eagles across the goal line. Miscommunication with the defense due to language barriers is another semi-lame excuse to ignore Davari's obvious weakness and lack of motivation and drive.
Rahman Ahmadi has guts, has good reflexes, and has lots of motivation. But he does commit some deadly mistakes here and there. His biggest problem is that he usually goes for the attacker's leg(s) in one-on-one situations which can potentially lead to a penalty. He did that against S. Korea in Seoul, but got away with it.
With that said, I'd be OK with either Haghighi or Ahmadi. Haghighi seems like a solid, reliable goalie. I just wish we had more preparatory games so we could test Haghighi a little more.
