I think they're gonna sign Oladi.

He had an assist in his first match with them, and today he assisted the first goal, and scored the second one vs Recreativo. They won 4-0.

You can watch the highlights here: http://www.xerezcd.com/ (play the clip on front page):

Ziganda talks about Oladi.. saying that he was fantastic bla bla bla

He practically scored 2 goals, 1 of them which i believe was wrongly called offside. But he made it up by scoring another goal. His assist was world class, got the ball, turned around, and instantly gave a perfect ball behind defense.

In all honesty, Ziganda seems very impressed with him, the fans seem to love him. He got a standing ovation when he got subbed off. I think he's done enough to earn himself a deal with Xerez. Pretty sure Ziganda said a decision will be said on Monday after the friendly, which is 2day.

Oladi today at Xerez training, the other player who was on trial Keita has apparently returned back to his country.
Talks on the Xerez forums hint more and more towards that its only a matter of time before Mehrdad Oladi becomes an official Xerez player. Hopefully financial matters wont come in the way.

Masoud Shojaei was also named Osasuna's top goalscorer in the pre-season with 3 goals scored. Only showing that he is ready to have a massive year in La Liga. :khodai:

Shojaei could really be instrumental for Osasuna this year if they really want to top half of the ladder finish and maybe even fight for European spots. Javad Nekounam needs to find his rhythm also if Osasuna wishes to have a solid midfield, as he has been a bit dissepointing in the friendly's

The article says that Oladi is staying in Xerez and will sign his official contract shortly...the delay was due to some paperwork problems that he had to resolve (iranian military responsibilities being one of them), but that everything was finalized and that he would put ink on his new contract by saturday it is hoped. There is no indication on the size or length of the contract at this point, although the article says that Oladi is signing with Xerez to play in La Liga (so probably he won't be or doesn't want to be loaned out). Ziganda said in today's press conference that the only issue remaining was some paperwork problems, but that he was eager to have Oladi on the team playing the way he did against Recreativo a week ago.

Translation;

Xerez Oladi convincing and is now part of Xerez CD
The Iranian player was tested and has convinced the Andalusian club's of his technical capabilities

former player of Persepolis Tehran will sign a one year contract

Mehrdad Oladi is the tenth adition of Ziganda's team, having successfully passed the trial period. The player will be linked with Xerez for a while.

The main problems of the transfer is the lack of documentation for the player and the fact that he has not done military service in his country, something that can cause future problems.

The attacker, who use to belong to Persepolis of Tehran, has just completed a loan spell of six months for Al-Shabab Dubai of the United Arab Emirates league.

Oladi, 24, has been capped for the under 23 with Iran NT, selection who participated in the recent Asian Games, a selection with wich the persians won the bronze medal.

--------

Its a 1 year contract, dont know about any options, the contract is signed and everything but Oladi doesnt have all his papers yet so it isnt official yet, normally a formality but he IS Iranian, it should be dealt with soon enough though, atleast I hope.
