Iran wins the 2nd set against Japan by 25-16.
Mousavi again with some points from solo defending including the set winner. he also scored a couple of points from power shots.
Farhad Ghaeni (bacheh Gonbad Kavoos) with a great service point half way through the set to give Iran a 2 point lead over a surging Japan. Japan never managed to get that close afterwards.

Iran wins the 3rd set by 25-22 and advances to the Final match.
Japan started the 3rd set real well and took a 4 point lead at 10-6.but a pair of great defensive works by Mahmoodi & Mousavi closed the gap and helped Iran to eventually draw level at 16-16. some great attacking points by Mousavi , Zarrini & a smart " ja khali " by Saeed Maroof gave Iran a late lead that was maintained till the final point.
Iran will play the winner of China vs S.Korea tomorrow.

سرمربی تیم ملی والیبال ایران گفت: تیم منحصر به فردی در اختیار دارم و همه بازیکنان عالی کار می کنند
خولیو ولاسکو پس از پیروزی تیم ملی والیبال ایران مقابل ژاپن در گفتگو با خبرنگار اعزامی روابط عمومی فدراسیون والیبال اظهار داشت: بازی سختی داشتیم چون ژاپن تیم بزرگی است. در ست سوم ژاپنی ها تغییراتی در تیم خود دادند و شرایط بهتری پیدا کردند اما اصلا دوست نداشتم در این مسابقه هم مانند بازی با کره جنوبی یک ست از دست بدهیم. بنابراین از بازیکنان خواستم برای هر توپ و امتیاز بجنگند و تمرکز خود را برای رسیدن به پیروزی حفظ کنند
وی در پاسخ به این سوال که از بین تیم های چین و کره جنوبی ترجیح می دهد با کدام تیم در دیدار نهایی روبرو شود؟ گفت: ترجیح می دهم با تیم بازنده بازی کنیم اما متاسفانه امکان پذیر نیست. اگر در دیدار نهایی مقابل کره جنوبی به میدان برویم نباید به این موضوع فکر کنیم که آنها را قبلا یک بار در این مسابقات شکست داده ایم. پیش از این هم یک بار تجربه شکست مقابل چین در جام جهانی را داشتیم و نباید اجازه دهیم که این اتفاق تکرار شود. هر کدام از این دو تیم که به دیدار نهایی صعود کند تیم قدرتمندی است و کار سختی را در پیش خواهیم داشت
ولاسکو خاطرنشان کرد: بازیکنان نیمکت نشین ما کاملا آماده هستند چون ممکن است در طول مسابقه وارد میدان شوند. امروز شهرام محمودی وارد بازی شد و عملکرد خیلی خوبی هم داشت. ممکن است فردا هم بازیکن دیگری به میدان برود و همین گونه کار کند. تیم منحصر به فردی دارم و بازیکنان عالی کار می کنند

Korea took an early 2 point lead at 6-4. but Iran managed to catch up quickly and make a 7 point gap on way to winning the set. Hamzeh Zarrini scored some points with excellent services . Mousavi , Gholami , Ghafoor with some attacking points from great receptions by Zarif and passes by Maroof.

Close set all the way to the end. in the end it was Hamzeh Zarrini again with a pair of great service points to give Iran the lead and Mousavi/Mahmoodi defensive combo to finish off the set. Maroof also made a good point with a smart move to let a flying ball pass over the net and land on Korea's court.
