It's not a lack of respect for Chomsky. Most halfway decent people don't give off opinions to appease others but rather do it to appease themselves. So I'm not brushing his views off even though I don't agree with him. I'm merely brushing off people who keep bringing up the same old pretzels......which are making me thirsty.
Besides, intelligent people can be crazy as well...just look at Ron Paul. Clearly intelligent considering that he's an MD from Duke's program but at the same time prions must be taking their effect on that brain of his.
It must be all incoincidental that these rather intelligent people that - who, at least in Chomsky's case - you've admitted to dwarf other people's intelligence suddenly become "crazy" when you disagree with them. You don't even try to elaborate why you disagree or why you regard them as crazy...instead...pretzels make you thirsty. How convenient that you like pretzels so much.

All these crazy people? I listed three intelligent people and have referred to only one of them as crazy. Crazy and intelligent aren't necessarily mutually exclusive......and I haven't even gotten to the part where I refer to Gerrard as shining example of a berk.

Read this part about Gold:

"An April 2002 lawsuit by agent Sandra Epstein against Endeavor Agency brought accusations by Epstein and other Endeavor employees against Emanuel.[11] In the court filings, Emanuel is alleged to have allowed a friend to operate a pornographic website out of Endeavor’s offices.[11] According to Epstein, Emanuel made racist and anti-gay remarks and prevented her from sending a script about Navy Seals to actor Wesley Snipes, saying, "That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Everyone knows that blacks don’t swim."[11] Emanuel disputed these accusations at the time. Epstein’s claims were settled for $2.25 million.[11]

This surely calls for a big thank you to Ari for preventing Snipes from appearing in another movie.
hahahahaha...I read that before...
the only half decent role he ever played was Nino Brown..but even that was bad.

had to think of this..

You already have 420 posts and still behaving like a newbie....:--biggrin:--biggrin
While reviewing Shah Meyti's posts you must be able to read between the lines and not what he actually says. Some of Amoo Meyti's posts could be considered as sucker-bait, not paying attention you might fall right into it, das is no goot.
I don't understand how I'm acting like a newbie because to me the posts Meyti's posts are prejudice. Please explain to me how his posts are sucker-bait. Does he just say these things to rile people up and get a reaction out of them? If this is how he truly feels I feel sorry for him because intolerance and prejudice is not good.

Congrats to Obama Fans - I hope you would not regret it.
However, to be on record, let me state -
Obama is the best thing that could happen to IRI and Europe.
Meanwhile he is the worst thing that could happen to Iran and Iranian people and their hopes and dreams of ever reaching a secular democracy.

AghA Masoud,
How could you predict so precisely when Obama doesn't even have his cabinet yet?
I personally will not know until I see who is his Secretary of State, Defense and his National Security Adviser and then let him be in the office at least for a year before we can analyze his policies. JMHO

BTW: Good to see you in the board. chAkereem.

Thanx Motori Jaan.
I just wanted to be on record - we will see.
In a healthy democracy those who oppose a certain candidate must stand their ground - especialy if the guy they oppose wins the election. This is a neccessary part of democracy for the "Checks and Balances" process. I wish more of our Hezb-Baad hamvatans could understand that.

Unlike many, although I am proud of the history that was made in this election, but will not get on the Obama bandwagon. This is particularly hard, since my primary concern is Iran, and know Obama will do much good domesticaly here in America. I think what Bush has started in the middle east must continue as long as it is necessary to do away with the terror network which includes IRI, and as one Iranian I will make sure that opinion is voiced as much as I can. Obama is already on record in wishing to play diplomacy with the mullahs. That is like trying to play chess with a chimpanzee.

jesus people meyti is a satirical comedian, dont you get it....

either that or a very disturbed individual I guess.
I'll go with the first part otherwise waho mamma the shrink would have a field day with Meyti. My gut instincts now tell me that he's just doing this to get a good laugh out of us.
masoudA-I certainly understand your concerns about Iran talking diplomacy with the Mullas is like trying to have an intellectual conversation with a chimp. Anyways I prefer someone to talk about diplomacy vs having a redneck singing bomb bomb bomb Iran. The last thing we wan tis for Iran to become the next Iraq. At least with Obama we know that probably won't happen.
