Thanks for all your responses.....
In order not to get distracted - I will say this:

I went and saw a movie - one which for some reason the American leftists/Liberal media refuses to take ads for!! and the Hollywood network of syndicated movie theaters did not support.......The movie was anti Obama...but even more importantly was Pro America........but none of that was as interesting to me - as the 3 "insights" I posted in this thread. I will not get into the almost automatic liberal responses - I am so used to here on ISP......the ones which read my posts just to able to respond!!! I will also say nothing about the respectable and mature members who will either chose not to see the movie - or will see it and then make comments. But for those of you who wish to make comments - with or without having seein the movie, let me repeat the 3 "Insights" I have posted so far:

1- The Indian guy Dinesh (or his publishers) did not dare to fully expose the problem.....stopped short. I wish they had looked a bit into who controls NBC, CBS, ABC, and how!!!
2- The opinion was from a first generation immigrant - just like myself. The only difference is he came here for opportunities and better life - I immigrated to America because certain freedoms were taken away from me and my family. I chose to leave Iran, knowing there would be less opportuinties outside....All I could look forward to was survival but as a free man. You see we chose USA and did all we needed to do to immigrate here, from amongst every country on earth. Yet we found young leftist Americans pittyfull and stupid in their attempts to fight for freedom!! and found it funny borderline ridiculous to see newly arrived immigrants pressing for "System Change" and fall of capitalism in America!! I mean common.....Everything is relative.
3- To turn focus away - the old colonialists have managed to turn the anti colonialist slogans of the early 20th centrury into anti Capitalist and anti American slogans.

Let me teach you something about Americans........they don't fall in love with their idealogies, political party, leaders, etc. unlike you boys - they don't follow anyone blindly and when they make mistakes they have no problems admitting it. That is why there will never be a revolution here...only reforms. History of the world is pretty clear especially that of the 19th and 20th centuries - we all know which countries ran colonies, and which were colonized.......now if you wish to change history by wiki snapshots, youtube clips and one liners like leftists seem to like to do these days.....fine - just know at least in my eyes you look so so funny doing it. That left-swinging roof in Europe is headed for yet another collapse - once again requiring Americans to fix it....
Dude, I really don't care. It's a pretty pointless discussion. All I know is that 25 years of underfunding public institutions have finally hit the G.O.P. because they have problems holding their convention. As for that guy and his nightmare scenario about a socialist America, America was most kicking ass when it was a half socialist country in the 60ies and 70ies, so...really...going back might be an idea since the last 10 years didn't work that great.

Anyway, what I care about are the Philippines. Except for 3 years of Japanese rule during World War II, Japan had no business with the island. The US took the island from Spain and Flint is either stupid, not educated, a troll or a liar. Everything else is pretty irrelevant to me.

God bless America....

Why not add Fox to the list? You expect people in this forum to treat you as "fair and balanced" but with every post you make, you speak with an agenda and not on a neutral ground. If you want people like myself to take pointers to make conclusions don't be so obvious about the right wing agenda you carry so I can tell myself; "let me research a little more". But since you have done all the researching based on the right wing agenda you carry, Its hard to take you serious no more than Ehsan making his doodooltala posts.

The movie was anti-obama and pro-America. haha. What does that mean? Does it mean because Obama is black and America looks right with a white president? Otherwise, I just dont see what Obama has done that was not accepted by Republicans in the years prior to him getting in. His insurance policy that he pushed is the sameone that Romney did way before Obama in MA. What made Romney a conservative and tea party hero, and Obama a communist on the same insurance policy? So, please give us example of what makes Obama a socialist?

So You left Iran for human rights and democracy and you support people that are anti-gay, anti women's right to choose and protection of birth control, support republicans who are religious and want laws bases on faith and religion, be honest dont support rights of blacks, etc.. So, which rights did Obama take away that you are so concerned with? Oh I see, wanting to reverse the Bush tax cuts that were suppose to be temporary pushing money into the pocket of wealthy, and has shown it does not help the economy as it gets saved or gets push into emerging markets or as Romney (the one you support) puts offshore. Or is it because the peoople you support have put everything in the way of financial regulations that saw the retirement and saving of so many people disappear for the benefit of very few who made alot of money from it?

As for your media list, you forgot ABC is owned by Disney and is a conservative right wing leaning media. And with Comcast having taken over 51% of NBC ownership and running it, it is gradually moving towards right wing media. You forgot Fox, GBTV, and others.

Thanks for all your responses.....

All Republicans's policy is just one, is tax break for their pockets. That is their economic policy. Tax breaks for their pockets.

Dear Mehran - We all know who controls FOX, we also know he and his son got slapped in London last year!! Do you know who controls ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN,.....?

Let me tell you something my young friend. Before the revolution, when taking sides against the Islamic republic - I confronted many sentiments such as yours. Well meaning souls who did not know what went on behind the scenes. Just as you think people like me are supporting the American fat cats, corporations, etc., in 1978, they looked at us as people who were relatives of the Shah, or as people who were close to darbar. Someday you will look back and feel foolish about your lack of understanding of the world affairs and allowing yourself to be used against your own interests......unless you are like those people who are still cursing at the Pahlavis.

Meanwhile......let's rock

As long as you can admit that you are after your own self-interest and not the interest of America, and what's for the best interest of America I'll give you the understanding you deserve. But please don't hide behind the mask of neutrality and that you're as critical of the right as you are with the left.

What neutrality......I am anti Socialist and anti Colonialist - Obama is a socialist who has been implanted here by the very colonialists he says he despises. For years I have been exposing the FAKE LEFT here on ISP.....the side who hides behind the mask of helping the poor and the hungry.......

Just take a look at the Iranian leftists......especially the ones who fled to Uncle Sam's arms after they realized the mullahs won't share the power with them!! Who wears the mask?

This's movie starting Ben Affleck is set to come out next month. I seriously think this movie was one of the reasons why Canada closed it's embassy in Tehran .

Haven't posted here in ages but I just saw a Documentary which rocked me to my core. Amazing story, incredibly sad and moving. It is called "Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father".

This is the beginning of a review I found on the net that gives you an idea of what you're going to expect:

Dear Zachary is one messed-up motherfucking documentary, people. And the less you know about it, perhaps, the better. Or maybe not. I knew nothing about it going in, and made the mistake of forcing Mrs. Pajiba-hyphenate to watch it with me. Within 11 minutes, she was sobbing, begging me to turn it off. Before I could find the remote, however, she’d been sucked back into an all-too engrossing story of a man’s freakish, tragic murder. But by minute 32, Mrs. Pajiba-hyphenate was inconsolable but transfixed, watching the next 45 minutes of the documentary with bleary, tear-filled eyes. Before the documentary ended, those tears turned to silent shock. And, for the both of us, it was perhaps the first time we’d ever been completely paralyzed by a film. It is an experience unlike almost any other, and your emotions will run the gamut, from sadness, to pride, to despair, to anger, to ache, and to complete disbelief, and unbelievable, mess-you-the-fuck up shock.
Don't look for anything else though. Don't watch a trailer, don't read about it; just get it and watch it.
