F**ing Russia

..........Russia says it regrets Coalition strikes against Libya, urges end to the violence.
It's not just Russia shahin jan, it's also China who declared on the side of Ghaddafi.

I never understand what it is with these regimes and people. Why is it that they so vehemently support rogue regimes that oppress and murder their own people?

There are also people like this. Look at GP here. He is rubbing his hands hoping that the west fails. He is supporting every little murder from the Ghaddafi side, feeling satisfaction inside as the news comes through that Ghaddafi suppotrers have killed demonstrators.

Sick motherfuckers.

I'm getting mixed emotion about this guys, coalition forces are destroying the entire nation just to oust qaddafi.

Over 150 Cruise missiles have already hit various targets deep inside Libya, French Mirages and British Tornadoes are pounding the nation as we speak. Over 50 dead, 150 injured all civilians. 10s 0f 1000s Libyans mostly elderly, women and children are running twd Egyptian borders. In span of less than an hours these international gun slingers have managed to put the entire nation in chaos. I wonder if it worth it.

Better option (less violent) could be landing coalition forces in Beghazi, take over the airport, setup command post and start from westward. But NO!! they don't want any foot soldiers on the ground because they might get hurt and piss off their people.

Bombs and Cruise missiles can not distinguish between military and civilian targets.

Or they could send Special Op forces and take out the madman. Cowards!!

Me too. This morning I read the following on

Is Ghadafi the only war crimanals we know? How about Bush?

Dear Saeid,
In what way you assume Obama is any different than Bush?
Bush tried to convince 100damn through international diplomacy for over a year, when all failed and military action became inevitable still gave him 5 month to think about before O.I.F started.

In this case it is not even 5 weeks passed since the start of uprising in Tripoli and bombs already are falling. No diplomatic option, No time for a battered leader to gather his thought and make "possible" rational decision. Heck after Obama told him "you must leave' it would take more time for him to pack even if he wanted to abide by big boy's order.

This is nothing but declaration of war by UN on Libya. They are treating that country like a political wilderness. As I said Cowards.

11:29am

Gaddafi vows to fight for all the land of Libya. "We will not allow the enemies to come defeat us, we have already defeated the Italians," he says.

11:49am Gaddafi spoke for about 15 minutes, a comparatively short address by his standards. During his remarks, Libyan state TV showed a static image of monument at the Bab al-Azizia - a giant gold fist crushing a fighter jet with "USA" written on the tail. Gaddafi was never shown, perhaps out of fear that he would reveal his location and expose himself to a coalition attack.

The Libyan leader was characteristically pugnacious, promising an endless war against the "Christian" enemy - France, the United States, the United Kingdom, and others.

"There is no justification for this cold war against Islam," he said.

Gaddafi also pointed to the wars in Vietnam and Iraq as well as US military efforts against Osama bin Laden and armed militias in Somalia as examples of the fate that awaits foreign military intervention in his country.

The US Defense Department released this photo of briefing on Odyssey Dawn that shows approximate coalition target areas in Libya. One appears to be an airfield around 120km west of Tripoli (or roughly 30km east of the Tunisian border). Here's a Google satellite map image of the airfield:

12:21pm According to the AFP news agency, one hospital in Benghazi says at least 94 people died in Gaddafi's last push on the city late Friday night and Saturday morning, in the hours after the UN security council approved military action against him but before coalition planes were in the air.

1:43pm Admiral Mike Mullen, the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, says there is no sign of Libyan regime aircraft in flight, a sign that they may have been destroyed or their facilities too badly damaged to use.

1:48pm The Washington Post reports that Western reconnaissance satellites are watching a "small garage" south of Sirte where it is believed the Gaddafi regime stores around 10 tonnes of mustard gas.

2:04pm The Taliban has issued a statement condemning the strikes in Libya, saying they represent a "politically-motivated and uncalled-for intervention and adventure" of Western nations in the internal affairs of the country.

The "anti-Islamic" and "colonialist" forces don't want a solution to the bloodshed, the statement said, but rather plan to weaken Libya and take its oil through "direct invasions."

The Taliban called on Muslims and rulers in the Islamic world not to remain neutral and to help Libya to "wriggle free" and "save itself from the tentacles of the foreign colonialism."

2:34pm The initial stages of the operation to enforce the no-fly zone "has been successful", says Admiral Michael Mullen, US military chief.

Kenneth Fiddler, a spokesman for the Germany-based US Africa Command, said 19 US warplanes, including three B2 bombers dropped 40 bombs "on a major Libyan airfield" at dawn today. he didn't specify which airfield, or how many of the "military targets" were destroyed.

Lol and you lived under a rock in the past few weeks ?
how can they finish the job when Qadafis airforce is pounding them 24 hours, just in 2,3 days qadafis troops recaptured 6,7 cities. Benghazi was also coming but the coalition came into the ring
