The most talented footballer we had was also the unluckiest one ,instead of playing for Manchester united he ended up playing in Bangladesh ,thanks to the scumbags in IRIFF ...

Don't want to take blame away from IRIFF (because they deserve alot more blame) however Hejazi not going to Manchester was because certain higher ups in Taj would not allow him to transfer.

At the time he was under contract with Shahbaz and directors of Shahbaz were in the commitee that was running the IRIFF and they declined to give him permission to go unless he gave back all the money he recieved before the revolution .

Very nice and touching ,hope some more of his actions in goal come up , for example the game against korea in pusan 1977 world cup qualifier where he saved more than half dozen goals to earn Iran a point or his saves in the Holland game ,he was a busy keeper against Holland and he saved so many goals ,he saved a thunder of a shot from vanderkerkoff in second half ,one of those Dutch rockets that beat Zoff and Mayer was saved by Hejazi ,it is on you tube but not in good quality .

one of his great saves came up on you tube that I posted ,hopefully more will come up .It would be fantastic for any young keeper and fan to see him in action and learn from him.
