In a country with history of corruption post in pre and post Russian era it would not be surprising to have a rigged election and they will still continue to be in power. This a country where that other ministor was poisoned some years back and his shape and looks continued to decline and charges were also brought against its woman prime minister (Yulia Tymoshenko). This and even an election would not end what has started here in my opinion.

I'm the last person on earth to side with Putin and all that..but...the Swoboda party that the west is pushing are neonazis. So as usual, and although I wouldn't use RT as a source, China has some point in what he says. These guys are not just peaceful protestors...nevermind the ties the Klitschkos got with CDU in Germany. (In general, I believe it's better to be nokare Amrika/Gharb than Nokare Amu Ivan/Russia, but still...)

It seems like The Parliament has successfully impeached the President.

The Situation is gone get more complex. Yanukovych can lose power because he will be thrown in jail like the last Prime Minister with that had a funny hair 8 years ago after orange revolution.

Situation is becoming more tense.

fascinating stuff....people who have no clue about one of the major players of the protests making fun of a guy who actually speaks Russian.

Way to go...I'm having a laugh too.

And then they get emotional because someone calls them bisavad...which they are. LOL!

:D

And then he gets banned and the human rss machine keeps posting...damn...something's terribly wrong

I am afraid the link you gave hits on a general Wiki article on the party. No indication that they are spearheading the revolt. Wanna try again?
LOL. It's the usual China logic of pomegranates are red, therefore the earth is flat! The first article didn't even mention Svoboda, let alone the fact that the west is "pushing" them! And we're emotional and bisavad! :khodai:

Every Iranian should closely follow events of Ukraine.

in a future democratic-esque Iran there will be plenty of disputes like this where parliament will be stuck in a deadlock.

Who would have thought Ukraine, on Russia's border, would fall out of the Russian circle of influence before Syria?! I can't really say I'm happy that Tymoshenko took the stage and gave the victory speech - she's a figure from the past and Ukrainians need to look to the future and get past seriously corrupt political figures. I guess the jury's still out on Tymoshenko on that, but as we say, taa nabashad chizaki, mardom nagooyand cheezha. At the moment, it looks like Klitschko's the only one with potential for a fresh start. How long he can stay clean and whether he musters up enough votes is a whole different issue.

I am really impressed BH. You know your Tymoshenko and Klitschko really well. I can barely say their names.

I know Ukraine only from my readings of WW2. They were so pissed at Stalin that they welcomed Germany's occupation of their land, which Stalin did not forget. Looks like the same feud is still going on.

Thanks. I couldn't type Svoboda in Google myself and after reading a hundred articles hand't figured out they were a far right party!

My question was how is the west "pushing" Svoboda?

they are part of the alliance/umbrella of Maidan and have been one of the more visible groups. Nowhere anyone is telling Klitschkos and whoever else that comes up that there should be no deals with them. Their role is as big, if not bigger, than that of Islamists during revolts in Egypt and you guys were getting your panties wet because of that. They are also the guys who go overboard and turn the protests into outright violence. Now, as said, better to be the puppet of the West than the puppet of Russia, but I guess it's obvious by now that you're an idiot. :) Just wanted to make it clear once again.

Au contrair, mon ami... the only thing that you made clear by not answering a politely asked question and resorting to personal attacks and grade school name calling instead, is that you are in fact the idiot.

It was not a difficult question and anyone with basic reading comprehension would and should have understood it the first time and provided an answer - if they had one. For the 3rd time: how is the west "pushing" Svoboda?

BTW, I saw one of my Ukrainian friends last night and she was joking that they're hoping Klitschko hadn't got one too many knocks to the head in the ring! :)

Everyone understands the risks of having an ultra-right extreme party as part of a coalition, so that is given. The problem is that most Ukrainians do not belong to that party, nor will they ever join forces with those num nuts. When you have an uprising, such as the one in Ukraine or Egypt, you have people from all walks of life who are a party to the movement. So jus because there are far-righters protesting along with ordinary folks on the street, and just because US is in support of the Ukrainians pledge to end corruption, it doesn't equate to the US supporting the NeoNazis. It is really not that difficult to understand.
