What a tough bout for Omid Noroozi against Staebler. Noroozi won it by 4-3. but Staebler put up a late charge and almost scored the winner in final seconds but Noroozi defended well to win a close one.

Ghassem Rezayee is in a tough group.his next bout is against Russian wrestler Musa Evloev.

Some other top wrestlers from Armenia , Kazakhstan & Belarus are also in Rezayee's group.

Hamid Sooryan defeated Romanian wrestler in his first bout and will wrestle next against Fahmy from Egypt.

There are some tricky wrestlers from Cuba , Azerbaijan & Ukraine in Sooryan's group.

Iran's Afshin Byabangard is paired against Korea's Kim for his first bout.

Russia's great wrestler Labazanov is also in Afshin's group.

Ghassem Rezayee (98kg) just defeated Russia's Evloev in a close bout by 2-1. smart defending by Rezayee to maintain the lead and win this bout against this excellent Russian wrestler.

Hamid Sooryan is leading Fahmy from Egypt by 2-0. but Fahmy has put up a good fight so far.

Iran's Hamid Sooriyan won by 2-1 against Fahmy from Egypt. good effort by Fahmy in the 2nd period but he ran a bit out of gas towards the end and Sooriyan managed to control the match and win it.

Sooriyan's next opponent will be the winner of Cuba vs Georgia. the Cuban wrestler Borrero is quite tricky and could cause Sooriyan some serious problems.
