Nostalgia:
This one is cringe worthy :D

Few years before the revolution, Iran beat Kuwait which had the Brazilian Zagalo as their coach. Now watch this eftezaah. :ROFLMAO:
The singer is a young Zia Atabay.
Khejalat keshidam khodaayish.

Hilarious, but remember that was a different era and the whole nation was in a hot pursuit of team melli to qualify for the world cup for the first time.

Zia changed the lyrics to his hit song "Zangaloo" and came up with this humorous song that fitted well with the situation at the time.

There was a lot of hypes about Zagalo and kuwaities talked big and were giving it large and Zagalo himself was overconfidently fueling it.

Obviously he was the biggest name in football working in Asia at the time. So beating them twice to put a lead on their chants made Zia come up with this korkori song , It was quite popular.

You mean Mario Zagallo pas chera mige zagaloo lol.
He changed zangaloo to zagaloo to fit in and make fun of him.

Remember a cunning tactic by Mohajerani with injured Roshan ...to confuse the kuwaities watching the last training session prior to the home game in Tehran, he had Roshan in training doing light work and taking shots on goal 😳
But he was not in the line up on match day.

Biggest crowd in the world that day for a world cup qualifier with 120,000 people.

I must have been about 4 so I don't know the wider context. The song in itself is just so hilarious.
The context is as follows:

A great Gilaki folk singer & song writer by the name of Hassan Khoshdel from Bandar Anzali (passed away a few years ago) wrote and performed " Zangaloo " at Koolak Hotel in Bandar Anzali. it's a song about a Bandar Anzali fisherman. Zia Atabay contacted Khoshdel and invited him to work with Zia on this song in Tehran studio.and that is how Zia's Zangaloo record was made and commercialised.

Hassan Khoshdel was a fantastic Gilaki folk singer and song writer (played Accordion & Piano) whose songs are loved and sang in Gilan (much like Ahmad Ashoorpoor) and specially revered in Bandar Anzali. he wrote and performed a fantastic song for Malavan Bandar Anzali FC on the occasion of the famous Malavan vs Taj game in Anzali in the early 1350's.that song was performed live at Anzali stadium with Malavan fans singing along. Jafar Namdar (RIP) who was the referee at that Malavan vs Taj game said that was one of the most beautiful and memorable occasions of his sports life.

Zangaloo , created and first performed by Hassan Khoshdel , later on recorded and performed by Zia Atabay.

There was a nice keyboard player named khoshdel who had a band with a Iranian Armenian guy called Jiraar in London playing in weddings and parties , nice guy .

I once asked him to record something for me on a tape and he graciously did and post it to me, very nice of him obliging to a total stranger.

I wonder if he was the same guy.

So Hassan Khoshdel basically agreed Zia to destroy his nice song. Damn lol

That's debatable , 1982 team was also fantastic.
I don’t know if any side can top the combination of Pele ,Jerzinho ,Tostao ,Rivelino ,Alberto ,Cezar ,Claudo Aldo
From the squad.standpoint no doubt. I just think 1982 team was moving in wider range involving more players in attacks, while in 1970 it was more duos and trios.
